Installed a Moroso Accusump onto the new Slant Six engine in my drag car.
I bought the unit at a swap meet many years back and had it
sitting in the shed.
I got a 12 inch piece of braided hose with fittings as part of the
deal.
The install was pretty easy. I ran a piece of 1/2 inch pipe (3/8 npt
thread) right out of the oil pump and used some fittings to connect
it to the flexible braided hose.
Once I saw where the braided hose wanted to go through the firewall,
I drilled a hole and that lead me to the place where the mounting
brackets needed to be. 4 holes later and the unit was installed.
With all the extra fittings and connection points, I was worried
about leaks but as luck would have it, no leaks upon startup.
With the unit mounted next to the shifter, it is easy to reach over
and open / close the valve.
It sure is nice to be able to start the engine with oil pressure
already showing on the gauge.
