OK, Dan.......inquiry sent to Belzona, now awaiting response. I see "my" nearest distributor is a fair bit north of me up in Minnesota, so that'll be a mail-order purchase. And Lou......you wanted to see the cam specs. I'll need ...

... also think welding/brazing, especially on a block still in a car w/no disassembly, will be a total crap shoot. I was hoping Dan would bring up the Belzona, since I forgot its name, and of course he did! Roger, if you can, take your crank and a stock rod and piston (sans rings), but 2-3 old main ...

Flip the block upside down and pour in some magic mystery stuff to stiffen the structure? If JB Weld isn't enough, perhaps Belzona? Darn expensive, though...

I recall the Belzona discussion a while back. Not really interested in that process with all the steps & cost to a finished repair. I know B & C bodies use Bendex brake systems. So are these aftermarket " A, B, C" ...

Hello all,

Does anyone have any tips on fixing these corroded holes in my aluminum engine block? Sounds like Belzona is the thing to use. How do I clean up the metal on the inside?

... authority on whether this can realistically be fixed; my advice here is just a semi-educated guess: I would probably want to try a cold repair (Belzona) rather than a hot repair (welding) because localised heat will warp stuff.

... If it's just being caused by corrosion of the block's gasket surface, you can thoroughly clean the surface, build it up with the right grade of Belzona , have it milled flat, and put it back together. Once you put it all back together, you'd do yourself a large favour to switch to waterless ...

I have used Belzona and it most definitely isn't sprayed on. This would be an interesting use of it for sure. When cured, in my experience, it is very gritty and has a texture to it. You would need to have it machined or ...
