I am thinking of fitting a car reversing camera to my 61 Valiant (I am getting old and it now hurts to turn around).

Feedback from anyone who has used this accessory, including where the unit was mounted, would be appreciated.

They have some that come in a license plate frame.

My middle son bought one, don't know what brand, that covers the rear view mirror and when you back up, the mirror becomes a TV screen. The added bonus is that it records front and rear when the vehicle is running, so if you're in a crash it backs up 30 seconds and records it to a micro SD card. It also has Google maps in it, so half your mirror is your map. It was less than $150, but I don't remember the brand.

Top Tip (Captain Obvious Category): Check the camera lens now and then.

I just investigated a fender-bender accident at our shop. The driver complained that the reverse camera image on the delivery truck was fuzzy. It was - until I wiped road grim off the lens. That cleared the image up immediately.
