OK, The Las Vegas Race is coming up on April 1, 2nd & 3rd and there is money to be had for any Slant Six owner who shows-up and runs this event.
Besides the $850.00 class pay-out we will once again offer our special "run a Slant in Vages and win money" award(s).

"One Arm Bandit Pay-Back"
This special pay-out is available to all first time Slant Six participants who run in the SL6 bracket race.
$300.00 will be split evenly among all the new Slant racers who run the first round. If you are the only "first timer" to make the first round "call", you get $300.00, if you are one of 4 new racers, each of you get $75.00
Bottomline: if you show-up and run a SL6 car at the Las Vegas event, you win money!

Make your plans and get out to Mopars at the Strip....See you there and remember, If you want to spend the week out in California, there is another race up in Redding on the following weekend! (also "Spring Fling" in LA

We will be at Las Vegas and also at Redding, Cal. drags. This will be our "maiden" voyage for our 1970 Dart "Swinger". Very happy to see there will be some money available for us "first time" racers. Hope others will join us at both these events...Wayne in Chico

It's "tune-up time"! :D
Change the oil and spark plugs. Check the timing and the distributor's advance, make sure the car gets 28 - 30 degrees total mechanical advance by 3000 RPM.
Check the valve adjustment and make sure the radiator is in good condition. (you may want to flush it out for good measure)
Read this article:

See you in Vegas!

There is a good set of Tech needs in the article I linked above.
Seat belts and a catch bottle on the radiator are the key issues, you will also have to pull the hub caps off the car.
You should preregister to save some time and $$ when you get to the track.

I am also "thrashing" to get a car ready and last I heard , Mike Jeffrey, Slantzilla, Seymour Pederson Rick Valent were all going.... we should have a good group.

Too bad I have to be in Pittsburgh(33ft tipi) that weekend,,,,,LV is only 21 hours from here.(at 145km/hr)
I went through Vegas last Oct and saw the strip. It looks like a wonderful facility.

Highway 5 @ 152 is up in my area, near Los Banos.
I just get on the road and as I drive and see other Mopars, drive along with them, pull off and stop when they do, it's a nice way to meet new people.

Wayne,
Yes, I saw that the plan is to run the SSRN points race on Saturday this year. We will see if we can also run a "fun run" deal on Sunday.

Redding i9s the following weekend as part of the Kool April Nites event, that is the following weekend, see the racing sechedule for some links.
