I think Oscar will again be at Vegas with his wife ...He won a "free admission" for 2006 at the last race. I saw Oscar at the Redding slant6 event late last year and his has his car running in the 13's now. Vegas is only about 11 hours from Chico so I think from the bay area it is only about 9 hours..Any rental yard has "carriers" or trailers available at very reasonable rates so don't let that stop you from coming to this race. Again, I mention that there is a place for all racers..At the last years winner take all "bracket race" (not the slant6 race), a guy in a completely stock 2005 deisle truck with camper shell won over $5,000 so you don't need a race car to have fun and be competitve. In the slant6 group, we had cars running anywhere from 12 seconds (MJ) all the way down to a completely stock Dart that was running 20 seconds. He just got a 8 second head start on Mike..BRING YOUR CARS TO VEGAS..

Anyone heard status report from Mike?? The last I heard he was shoveling snow..Wayne in Chico

Doug...what are you building up for Vegas? Are you usuing the motor from your "road damaged" ole Cuda?
Rick...How is your project coming along?
Mike: Are you bringing your Nitrous motor to Vegas?
Dennis: Are you planning to actually bring a "pig" to Vegas..if so, are you going to us it as 'ballist" to get better traction?
Otto: If you keep going faster and faster, we will have to put a new cam in the "Swingin' Six"
Seymour: Are you planning again to come tgo Vegas and if so, will you have more than one roll of "backup" film?
BRING YOUR CARS TO VEGAS...it would be great to have around 12 cars there this year...
See you in Vegas...Swingin' Six from Chico

Yes,
The "Toad" has all the parts from the wrecked 68 Cuda.
It should be good for 12's... if I can get it running and "debugged" in time!

Thanks Dave for the update. Sounds like you and Tim will make it to Vegas with time to spare. Got a call from Seymour who is still trying to find a way to come to Vegas again this year. I think with a little "prompting", he might just make it again this year. I told him to go to Lexington and let Mike tow him the rest of the way. Don't think that will happen. Got a email from Mike Andreas who is also trying to get his car back together and ready for Vegas. I don't see any reason we can't double the number of cars we had last year. GET YOUR CARS READY AND SHOW UP AT VEGAS...Wayne in Chico

Wayne, I am supposed top drive Rick Robertson's Dart. It is just too much of a nightmare to try and get my car out there. I will also be thrashing the rental car again.

Hi Dennis: Tell us more about your "ride" for Vegas. I had not heard about this member and his car. Is it a "stock ride" or ?? Where does he live in California? I hope to meet him at Vegas and try to get him to come to both of our now scheduled Redding Slant6/Inliner races on May 13-14 and again on August 26-27. See you in Vegas, Wayne in Chico

I can't believe I never saw this post before- usually I'm in the other
forums.
Yes it's true- hopefully Slantzilla will drive my car either some of the time
or all- I'm a never before racer and would like a pro to get a baseline
for me. He seems to be mezmerized by thrashing rental cars (this time a 300M).
If all goes well, I'll drive the 69 Dart from L.A. to Vegas.
It is a stock mtr., but with man valve body 904,3.55 s.g., Clifford Headers,
probably Holley 390, and NOS. (new suspension+ disc brakes)
For the few times I have driven it on the street (nitrous is not in yet)
it is a blast to drive.

This is going to be fun...

OK, I have access to one extra 3 day pass for this show at the pre-reg. price of $40.00
I can also offer a ride for anyone who wants to go to Vegas, we leave Thursday night and return on Monday.
All you have to do is show-up at my house in Sunnyvale, CA - with money in your pocket and pile into the car.

Anyone interested must PM me, first come, first served.
