Me and my dad had a great time!!!!! We sat up in the upper stands under the shade and taped most of the races on Friday (all /6 races of course). it was funny to see that teal valiant do 20's and then see 'the buzzin half duzzin' do 11's. Got a few things for my car. Did any of you guys eat "A Hemi Burger"? They were at that cannery.

It was a hoot, wasn't it Sandy.

Let's not forget about the guy that stopped by the Slant pits and was giving away a complete 70 225 engine, he had it right there in his Van.

Dennis, myself and the rest of the "SL6 Cowboys" quickly pulled off the head / manifolds as a set and then transferred the two big "chunks" (short block and head / manifolds) into Randy Jones' Mini Van.
Randy has a 62 Lancer that he and his son are working on so he was quick and thankful to get a free "big hub" forged crank 225 engine.

I was suprized when another person came by the SL6 pits trying to sell a Aluminum Block Slant out of their trunk.

Hey Doc- thank you so much for the pictures!
Pretty exciting for a first time racer like me.
