This year's Bristol race weekend again falls on Labor Day weekend. However, there have been some tweaks to the schedule from previous years. This year the track is combining the Mopar event with the Ford cars. :x I would think that pit space will be at a premium with all of the extra cars this year, just keep that in mind.

We will have two 1/4 mile races, one each day. In the past, we raced on Saturday and Sunday. THIS HAS CHANGED. We will be racing on Friday night, and Saturday afternoon.

Friday Aug 30th

Gates Open 10am
Car Show Registration 10am
Tech Inspection 11am
Car Show Judging 11am-3pm
Test & Tune (All Manufacturers) 6-10pm
Slant 6 race will be held in conjunction with the Test & Tune

Saturday Aug 31

Gates Open 8am
Tech Inspection 8am
Car Show Registration 9am
Time Trials (2 per class) 9am
All Manufacturers Gamblers Race 1st Round* Following time trials
Mopar Slant 6 After 1st Round
MustangGuys.com Fastest 5.0 Shootout After 1st Round
Car Show Judging 10am-2pm
Car Show Awards 3pm
Ford True Street Cruise 4:30pm
Mopar True Street Cruise 4:30pm
Mopar Bracket Race 6pm
Ford Bracket Race 6pm
Diamond Engineering Turbo Ford 4 Cylinder Ford Nationals 6pm

Tickets

Friday Spectators $10
Saturday Spectators $20
2-Day Pass $25
Car Show $35
Swap Meet (10x20) $45
Swap Meet (20x20) $60
Swap Meet (20x30) $75
Car Corral $45
Test N Tune (All Manufactures) $20
All Run Manufatures Gamblers Race $50
Super Pro $50
Pro $40
Sportsman $20
True Street $25
Slant 6 $25 for each race

Track allows camping overnight, and there are shower facilities.

We typically try to congregate in the pits behind the stands. Just look for the Bruners!! It might be more of a challenge to do this with the Fords competing for pit space.

Any questions, please PM me.

Brian Mimken

Ya I am 99% sure I am not going to make it. Too much going on with work and moving right now.

I have a set of scales I got from seymour if you need to use them. I am still in the process of getting parts together to rebuild the engine for in the blue car and wont be weighing anything any time soon.

We are planning the trip for clay city now and I am almost certain I will be there. If I end up making it to Bristol I can definitely bring the scales up... just doesn't look too good right now.

I'd hoped to get there early Friday but it looks like I'll have to roll out of here at about 3:00. First time my car has been out in 8 years. The last time I ran it was in Las Vegas. Can't wait.
