well, I was kinda on the fence about coming, and I wanted to get another test session here at home before towing down, but the local track here had some issues with the asphalt breaking apart and coming apart so they closed last week and for another week to repair, repave and grind the track.

so I am just going to come down and give it a try.
count me in with a competitive car or not.

Greg

Will sent me the "Broken Slant" trophy to bring along to Farmington. I just hope I'm not the on who gets to keep it.

We had 8 cars today. Ron Hamby came up with the win and Lukas Bruner was runner up in the funny truck. Ron also set a C alcohol record. His car was pulling the front wheels really good too!

Moe to come.

We had 10 cars today. The finals came down to Ron Hamby and Charlie Schmid with the win going to Charlie! Congrats to everyone and thanks to Ron and Kay for putting on a great race weekend. And special thanks to Empire for their sponsorship of the race. There will be more to follow.

Just pulled into the old homestead, from Wilkesboro. Made it home with no problems. Thanks to everyone for a terrific weekend. Had a great time. Now to bed.

Lou the C-Alcohol record was open so I moved up one weight class to fill the record. The speed is good but not out of reach if someone wants to better it later. It is 7.66. I did find out that by adding the 65lbs to the rear of the car to make the 2700 lb class my 60' time went from 1.62 average to a low of 1.53 which tells me I have been having wheel spin that I was not aware of. So I intend to keep the weight in. I cant believe I find myself adding weight to go faster but that's the case this time. :)
