I know it is a little early to start a 'who is coming list" but I needed to ask a question about the event so I went ahead and started the thread.

I did check with Elmer at Mason Dixon about running the other rain-out race from Crossville at our final event of the year. He said that we could run two races on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Here is how it would work.

Saturday - One of the races will be 1/8th mile

1st race - Begin @ 12:00PM / 2 time runs, then eliminations

2nd race- Begin @ 4:00PM / 1 time run, then eliminations

Sunday - Normal 1 race day

$15/race at the gate / $20 to me once inside for the purse


Please respond to this post if you want to proceed with the 3rd race here at Mason Dixon. I think it could definitely be an incentive for some of our long haulers. I am hoping Gary, Meril & Rodney can all make it.Maybe Charlie will even slide up again. 3 chances to win are better than 2.

New pistons still have not come in. So the turbo car will not be there. I really wanted to have it done.
Tying to get the other car buttoned up to make the trip. The street motor runs so it is minor stuff like throttle linkage and catch cans.

Please let me know if you are coming so we can keep our eyes peeled for you. Does anyone know if any of the Bruners are coming? Rodney? ...etc

We have a lot of people with cars down that may make for a slightly lower car count but we will still have a great time.

For everyone who is coming on Saturday. If you are planning to race both races please tell them at the gate that you are racing Slant 6 and you are racing 2 races. They will collect $30 from you ($15 for each race) and make sure they punch your tech card for 2 races. You only need one tech card for Saturday. Once you arrive look for me and I will collect the $40 from you for the purse.

The 1st race on Saturday will be the 1/4 mile race. The second race will be the 1/8 mile, make-up race from Crossville. Sunday will be our normal 1/4 race.

Please note that I do not have any additional purse money for the Crossville race other the $20 we will collect from each driver. I have extra purse money for the 2 Mason Dixon races that I normally host. Plus, I already ordered the 6 trophies for the 3 races. Just wanted to let everyone know that the pay-outs may be a little less if I split them 3 ways instead of 2. Donations to the Crossville purse will be gladly accepted! Really none of us are looking to get rich anyway. We will have a great time and should be able to crown this years Champion again, unless my math is really off.

We will have have some light food for you as well. Hot dogs, chips, water ...etc, but not the huge spread like in the Spring time.
