-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May 23-25 - MOPARTS CONNECTION all-MOPAR Drag Race, Car Show & Swap Meet. Silver Dollar Raceway. Reynolds Ga. http://www.silverdollarraceway.com/ Any one going? I would like to go, only about 5-6 hrs from me, but I don't know if the car will be back together, by then. Also need to do some prep work on the RV. I did contact the track, it is 1/4 mile racing, and overnite RV parking is permitted. |

Do you know if Ron parker will be going? If I get everything done, I will be going, and I have talked Slant Cecil into coming also. Any other Ga. or Fl. slanters. Maybe if we can get enough Slants there, we could have an unofficial slant six race. Maybe a gamblers race for slants? |

Got my Cuda back together. I will be leaving early Friday morning, so should make it in time for the Test and Tune, Fri. night. Slant Cecil, should arrive Sat morning. By the way, I talked to one of the people from The Moparts Connection, yesterday. He said if we want to set something up, they would be VERY receptive, to having a "Slant Six Shootout" next year. |

I had to leave saturday evening. How did things go Sunday? I know Charrlie was just watching since his new engine didn't fair too well with the nitrous. Dale was gonna go for it. Not sure how Cecil was doing. Dale set us up for a points race at this event for next year! Rob |

I made 3 break in passes Fri nite. Then on Sat, put down a 13.66 at 96 mph, on the first pass. Next pass Had a .15 better 60 foot time, but lost a piston about half way thru 2nd gear. That religated me to the ranks of a spectator. I think Dale Rose went out in the 2nd or 3rd round of super pro. Cecil made it to semi final in Street class. Cecil and I left, Sunday, before eliminations, so don't know how Dale made out. This is a nice track, it has grass pits, a downhill staging area, so you don't have to start your engine to move up, and an extremely long shutdown area. Frendly managment, good concession stand, typical rest rooms, and over nite camping is allowed, on multi day meets. Dale Rose has arranged with Moparts Connection, for us to have a Slant Six Race, next year. |
