Is there a favorite place that most people stay at when You're at Bristol? I've never been there. I'm hoping to have the Duster there. Hopefully a couple of the kids can come along, but it might be a little too far and long for them. I will be there regardless of whether or not I've got a slant 6 car ready or anyone with me. I'm planning on leaving Atlanta early Friday morning. Anyone interested in conoying up? Who all is planning on going? See Y'all there. Rob

Rob,
Here is a list of hotels. Personally I would stay in Bristol...shorter drive but Johnson City is not that far away.
We will be up Thursday night so look for the Slant 6 pits when you get there Friday. BMS has promised me they will reserve us some parking close to the starting line. If it is like last year the /6 pits were not to far from the 60' clocks....if I remember correctly.

Anyone who does not receive the SSRN newsletter and would like to receive a flyer for the Bristol meet please send me an email with your address and I will get one to you when I mail them out.

Tom

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good campground in Bristol? I have the list printed out to start calling, but if anyone has any recommendations I'd appreciate it. What do most people do? I would even sleep in the truck there at the track if I could. It doesn't look like any of the youth group will be able to come, so I'd rather just rough it and save some money. Thanks,
Rob

At one time the speedway had an area you could camp out in. This was before the re-modeling took place, not real sure if it is still there. I am sure no-one would say anything to you if you slept in your vehicle and Bristol has showers in their bathrooms.

Thanks Tom,
I'll contact the track to see what's available. I'm not sure the Duster will make it at this point, but I will be there one way or the other.

Rob, The last two years my wife and I have stayed, at the track, in the pits, with an RV. If you don't mind the couch, and can do without smoking, your welcome to sleep in the RV.

Thanks Charrlie,
I didn't know if you could stay overnight in the pits. I appreciate the offer of the couch. I'm comfortable in the back of the truck. I've got an old futon mattress and a sleeping bag. That's heaven compared to some of the places the Army has had me sleep over the years. I sure am looking forward to meeting all of the people on this list. A great bunch of folks! I'll see you at Bristol.

Rob staying at the Bristol track is not bad, first class showeres in the pits, been there and done that. This is the best place as for as facitilies go. I am leaving Resaca about 11:30 friday morning so if it fits your time line maybe we can pull up together.
ps i pull fast, about 75 mph with the car on the trailer. Hope to be there about 4:30 because that is a good time to get there. Thanks Ron Parker. :D

Hey Ron,
I'm not sure my old GMC can keep the pace with your Mopar, but I'll try. Since I'll have better tires and a good rear end on the Duster by then I will hopefully be able to go over 50 mph without fishtailing all over the place. I just have a dolly.
I stayed in the vehicle at Reynold's and it was fine. Bristol will be even better since it has showers. I'll give you a call later this week and we can set up to meet.
