Road tested the 64 Dart just now (Thurs eve!) - ready to rock. Should be perfect tail wagging for autocross. Hotchkis/Fox adj shocks and new T5 are nice. Need a few interior assembly steps. Will leave early tomorrow morn and see y'all there.

Lou

My first trip to Carlisle was awesome. I was amazed at the sheer size of the event. I have never seen so many Mopars of all years, styles together at one place. We had a good Slant Six contingent either in the show or visiting ie, Lou, Brian M., Greg, Brian & Melissa D., Rick, Denny, Ryan, Rodney & Alanna, Sam, Ron & Kay, Wayne... hope I didn't miss anyone. Rodney's race car was on display in building T with the special invitation cars. Lots of vendors and huge swap meet. I purchased some items for my 66 Dart project. I entered my '62 Valiant in the show field and the little 'Toad' made me proud by winning the Celebrity Choice Award and the 60-69 A-body Modified award. I am still pretty excited about that.

Seeing Lou and Brian run the Autocross was outstanding. We got to view the runs from the hill above the track and the view was spectacular. Lou was turning times as fast as the local pro that was giving rides to spectators, and Brian's times were good as well and he improved his ET each time he went out.
Thanks Greg for sending out the invite to everyone to go to Carlisle. That is what triggered my decision to go. Last weekend will always be a good memory for me.

The award video link is below.

Thanks
Ron

My first trip as well. Returned this morning on 4 1/2 hours sleep. Great to see everyone! Scored some 60's era front runners (aluminum slots 4 in wide) for the Piggie. Congrats to the Hamby's! Off to do laundry - more to come.

I had a great time all weekend as well! Thanks to the Droschaks for feeding me lunch, and Greg for the Swedish fish.

Unfortunately, my fun weekend came to a screeching halt (both literally and figuratively) Sat. evening when my engine let go on I-81.
