For us Clay City is ok, but we prefer scheduling 2 rainout races at M-D if Rick can pull it off. We have done it there on Sunday before without a hitch, and I don't see any reason they cant do it on Saturday as well. Of coarse its up to the track, but we all know all they have to do is call us up to the lanes and we (slant racers) are quick to line up. Just my opinion, we will go along with the group decision.

Wow, 4 races? I don't know but I can check. I personally would feel better doing 3, but I worry about keeping things running smooth.

Stay tuned. I am sending an e-mail to Elmer , now

Rick

Does anyone know if Mark and Rusty were planning for CC next weekend? I hate to cut them out.

Gary Bruner said according to Mark, Rusty don't have any more days off.
He said Meril and Lucus cant go to Clay City this weekend.

Well, Have we heard back from Elmer Yet?
I think that Many People cannot take the oct 3/4 weekend off as they already had off the Last weekend in Sept.
4 Races can be done at MD! I know it.
Preliminary weather this weekend(Oct 3/4) for Clay city is no better than last weekend.

Not yet, but looking at the schedule, there are quite a few classes running on Saturday at Mason-Dixon. Hopefully I here from him tomorrow.

OK, so John M and Mark/Rusty and Meril+co cannot make CC next weekend, and the weather does not look good.

Sounds like we should reschedule 1 or 2 of the races for M-D and all meet there on Oct 10-11. Rick, you should decide how many extra rainout races (with Elmer of course) that you and M-D can handle. I am in favor of 3, so you don't go crazy. Anyone who has not managed a race (or two races on one day) might consider being careful about asking/assuming too much.

Additional thoughts?

Thanks!

Lou

I just got off the phone with Elmer and we can do 3 races at Mason Dixon if we want, not 4. We can run our regular race on Saturday and 2 races on Sunday. So there you have it! Hope it works for everyone.

Rick

If I can just get a hand with pulling the second ladder as soon as the first race is done, I should be OK.

Rick,

We will have our entire crew there. So we will have extra hands to get the next ladder set up.

If someone wants to do the work to see about a roll call for Nov 6-8, I suppose we could do CC after all.

By Sunday morning Oct 11, we will have to decide whether to hold the rainout race at M-D.

All the best,

Lou

Lou let's say we know for sure on Friday night the 9th. I want to let Elmer know for sure on Saturday morning when we get to the track if there will be 2 races on Sunday.

OK, sounds great, Rick.

I have had a suggestion by PM that we see what the weather is like for Oct 10-11 weekend at M-D and if there are rainouts that weekend, we reactivate Clay City to be the season closer. If no rainouts at M-D, then we do not do CC. This seems simple and sensible to me.

Best,

Lou
