I agree with Lou about the time line of getting a different location. So far it looks like most people are saying the 27th. If by January 2, everyone would double check their calendars and make sure that there isn't any conflict, I will go ahead and book the large room and ask them to reserve a group of rooms. I'll reach out to the Bruner's and the Daugherty's to see if this works with them. Merry Christmas |

I just checked with Sam Daugherty and Lukus Bruner, both said the weekend of Feb 27 works great for them. I have not yet heard back from Gary's crew. Rodney will call Meril tomorrow for his input. |

I have booked the big room for February 26th and 27th. I am going to see if I can't borrow a couple folding tables and some chairs from church to bring up. The room is in Rodney's name. See Y'all soon |

Thanks a bunch, Alanna and Rodney! So, the banquet is confirmed for Feb 26 evening through Feb 28 morning. LOCATION: Valley Forge Inn 2795 Parkway Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 (located on the main parkway, US Hwy 441 between traffic light 3 & 4 next to the Happy Days Diner and the Comedy Barn In the Heart of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee) BOOK rooms by calling 865-453-7770 or Toll-Free: 1-800-544-8740 Tell them you are with the Slant 6 Racing banquet and they should give you a discount. Room rates will be around $50/night for a 2Xqueen room. We will have the BANQUET starting around 2 PM on Saturday Feb 27 in the big main room (#346). We will hand out awards and talk about racing for next year (schedule, rules, etc). Many of us will gather starting Friday late afternoon for bench racing and fun socializing, and this will continue through Sat night and maybe Sun morning. Thanks and hope to see you all there! Discount is 10%. Just mention Slant Six and ask for the discount. 2 Queen regular room is $49 and some change including taxes. Meeting Room is 346 Rodney and I both have to work that day (unless we get a snow day again this year  ) So we wont make it there until about 7pm on Friday.

I just talked with Ron Parker and he wants everyone to know he plans to attend the Banquet. He said his health is good now and he is looking forward to seeing everyone. Also he is locked out of the forum for some reason and would like for an administrator to try to do something to help him to get signed in. Ron |
