Its an nhra track. You probably need one if you run faster than 13.99, but I would bring one anyway to be good.

I don't remember about Bristol, but some tracks have their own requirements for safety equipment, based on local/state/insurance requirements.
IE: New Jersey requires a helmet any vehicle in competion. Also a state permit for Nitrous.
Georgia requires a fire extinguisher in the pit area of a trailered car.
Best to check with the track.
I always wear a helmet, and seat belt.

As far as I know a helmet is required if you run 13.99 or faster.
no shorts or tank tops while on the track.
you must wear a seatbelt.
you must have a neutral safety switch.
I am going to bring a helmet just to be safe. I don't know if they are required no one has said anything to me about a helmet during street fights but I am no where near 13.99 on all motor. you also need to have a puke jug, they let you have a plastic bottle zip tied to the radiator support. they seem to be pretty cool and let you fix things if they find them. I would also have a battery tied down. I use a ratchet strap and that is cool for the class.

I talked with Red about the helmets, and he said helmets are only required if faster than 13.99

Greg, I do not know if they have those. Never had to use one before.

Brian

Update: Called Red and he said there are used oil containers next to the fuel shack.

We also talked about the four fastest cars run each other if we have time. It would be 1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4 and the winner vs winner to have bragging rights and there may be a small purse as well.

Jack, has anything been decided on the fast 4 race?
This sounds fun.

Would it be heads up or still dial in?

All packed and waiting for rain to stop around here.

See everyone tomorrow.

We had a great time (Although it was pretty warm) and we are staying in town and leaving in the morning. From the Covalt Clan thanks to Jack & Brian for putting on a great race and to Red for the nice payouts! It is really nice to be wanted at the track and they treated us well.

Congratulations to Rodney & Ron on the wins! Hope to see everyone at the Wilkesboro race in August.

Rick
