Follow up to Lou's post.
Another good car count and great race in Knoxville. Thanks to Gary for coordinating the race and Barbara for providing food even thought we didn't get to enjoy it at the track on Saturday many were able to go to Gary and Barbara's house to eat since the race was called early in the day.

Rusty pulled from Missouri and had a perfect day Friday. He set a new record and won the race. You can't ask for more.

I got to ride in Lou's '68 Turbo Dart. WOW! it feels like it has a 360 ci. in it or maybe even faster than a 360. It also set a record as Lou mentioned.

Rodney had a perfect race going till he heard a strange noise in the staging lane for the final. Pulled it back to the pit conceding the race, and discovered loose flex plate bolts in the crank. They took it over to Josh's garage Sat., pulled the tranny and fixed before race time Sat. Jack was also there helping with the repairs and probably some other guys that I don't know about.

I knew my perfect run of round wins would end sometime. Rusty took care of that in the second round. So I don't have to think about that anymore. I told Rusty I didn't like him anymore   .

It was good to have Three new racers with us. Josh, Jimmy and Frank. Jimmy drove Merils truck, Josh drove Meril's toad, and Frank drove Alanna's toad.

Here is the round by round similar to Lou's with one change.

1st Round
Rodney vs Josh Woodie; Josh goes red, Rodney wins
Jack vs Jimmy; Jimmy goes red, Jack wins
Lou vs Courtney; Lou goes red, Courtney wins
Rusty vs Frank; Rusty wins
Ron vs Gary; Gary breaks, Ron wins on break pass

2nd Round
Rodney vs. Jack; Rodney wins
Courtney bye
Rusty vs. Ron; Rusty wins

3rd. Round
Rodney bye
Courtney vs. Rusty; Courtney goes red, Rusty wins

4th. Round
Rodney vs. Rusty; Rodney breaks, Rusty wins.

Congratulations to you Rusty.

Rusty if you would please post Franks last name on here for Rob, and Courtney please post Jimmy's last name if you know it and post for Rob.

Thanks Ron

Thanks for the great race report! We are still about 8 hours from home. Still in Oklahoma about 20 minutes from Missouri.

Once I'm home I'll call Clay City and let you all know.

Oh yeah, Rob, most of us who were at the track on Friday night also went in person to the track on Saturday to get the 5 attendance points for that day. I know that Ron, Lou, Rodney, Rusty, Frank, Josh, and Jimmy did so at least. Others can pipe up about this.

Best,

Lou

I gave everyone the 5 attendance points for the second day unless told otherwise.

We will be able to run the Knoxville make up race on Saturday at Clay City and can run it as 1/8 mile.

I've updated the Championship points thread to include Rusty's 20 points for re-setting the C/Alcohol record.

Is Josh Woodie perhaps the same Josh that raced at Knoxville last year...?
Also, can someone please find out Jimmy's last name...?

See you all at Clay City!! :D
