Thanks, but the 65 Belvedere floor is supposedly on its way. I just haven't seen it yet.
This has been a frustrating process, but I see light at the end of the tunnel, and it appears to be staging lights.....

Rick unfortunately I will not be able to make this race just found water in my oil and will be pulling the head off this weekend to see what gives. Also the little motor home I bought to pull the car is also in the shop and want be finished until some time next week. Y’all have fun and maybe I can make the fall race. This is not how I wanted to start the racing season after just putting some more juice on my engine to go faster. Norm

Norm,

Sorry to hear about the troubles. How much water in the oil, or what does the oil look/smell like? Possibly it's just condensation from sitting too long? Just a thought.

Lou

Lou the oil looks creamy light brown but doesn’t smell. I changed oil and filter about 5 weeks ago and have about 10 to 15 1/8 mile passes on the oil also water is down in radiator below eye level. Hoping it’s a head gasket and nothing more serious like a cracked head or block. Norm

To everyone, Just hold tight on your Mason Dixon plans for this weekend. We have had over 3" of rain in the last few days and they are calling for maybe 2" more into Saturday. If that holds there will be no way we can race just because the pits would be mud! Anyway, I had a email from Elmer (track Owner) that said he doubted that he would be open at all this weekend. So I will wait until noon Friday and then we will make an official call on this race. Hate to do that but we don't control the weather. Discussion about a re-schedule if needed will be later on.

Yes I remember. And we raced really fast one year on Saturday and hit the road as the hurricane hit us a couple hours later! :D :D

Dear friends, I have decided that it is time to pull the plug on this race weekend. We have had 3-4 days of rain already with lots of flooding and the forecast calls for more rain today, tomorrow and showers into Sunday morning. Elmer (track owner) told me he is 90% sure that they will be closed for the whole weekend. So, thanks to those who were planning to come, and we will have to see about the rescheduling. Elmer will likely reschedule the Mopar event and we can see if that would work for us.

Thanks for all your work Rick and Elmer, We appreciate it.

I am sure that's the correct call given forecast and current conditions.

Maybe we will all have a pow-wow for the June Race in Fairlawn/Radford VA.

Thanks for letting us know, Rick. This makes sense. Yes, let's have some discussion online, and at Motormile next month. Keep those cars prepped for June 15-17!!

On the bright side, Brian and Anna Mimken are on their way from NC to do some wrenchin and lip flappin this weekend. If we can't race, we'll build Slant 6 cars! Brian is bringing his Demonster and we'll shoot to finish everything up and get it running (accessories, exhaust, etc...).

Best wishes,

Lou

DeJa Vu! Y'all are just tryin' to give me & Dennis opportunities to show up... & win! You're the greatest!

I'm okay leading the points race for a little while longer... :D

Quote:
Due to Rob and Dennis not being able to attend on April 14th the race has been moved to May 12th.

Weather was also a contributing factor.
