I have sent 3 e-mails and called the track this morning and left a message for Elmer to call me back and let me know about the 3 race weekend. Sorry for no response.

I’ll see if I can twist Angie’s arm into driving your truck Saturday.

I’ve been trying to get her to race forever. She SAYS she’s willing... Maybe this will be the forcing mechanism to get her behind the wheel finally. :D

Finally talked to a real person at the track this afternoon! They told me they would speak to Elmer and have him call / e-mail about the races. Rick

Sweet! I’ve been working on her off and on today. She is willing if you are. :D

If Ohio Valley has test & tune Wednesday I’ll take her so she can get her feet wet.

Finished up the nitrous plumbing on the Duster today.

Here is what I go back from Elmer after 3 emails and 2 phone messages. An email with these words.
"Possibly Sunday it could be done"

So I think we will be able to do it, but it will all depend on how things go that day. If there are not 150 cars there and 10 oil downs we will likely get 2 on Sunday. Sorry it isn't more definite.

1st two races will be the Mason Dixon 1/4 mile and last race if it happens will be the 1/8 mile Clay City make up.

I just got off the phone with Mason Dixon and they said we can do both races on Sunday for sure. That is good. Only one caveat is that he said in order to fit everything in we will only get one time run Sunday and then start racing. So for those who race Saturday, we will have some runs under our belts. Those who race only Sunday will only get one time run. I told him we would be ready to go.

So when you come to the track and pay at the gate, just tell them you are racing Slant 6 and pay $15 for Saturday. Pay $30 on Sunday if you plan to run both races. Then come into the pits, and you give me the $20 for each race and that goes back to the racers as the purse.

If we get to run the Clay City race it will be 1/8 mile. I also will only have the $20 from each racer for the Clay City payout. No trophy...etc unless Rob had one. The Mason Dixon race we will have the trophies and some more $$$

See ya all next week!!

Ok Rob,
your wife is the driver of the truck for Saturday. I will just tow to the track with it. That way you don't have to worry about coming to get it since it is the wrong way for you. Sunday, Andrew Shank's brother David will be driving and he will be another rookie!

Thanks, Rick

We don’t mind going to get it.

I checked your ET. 17.5. :D

Angie’s car is running 12.5s.... In the 1/8th.

Anyone going to MD have an old 3 or 4 speed manual transmission stuff laying around you don't want? I would like one for some mock up stuff I'm fiddlin' with...
