Gary Bruner called last night with the latest on the Knoxville make-up race.

It will follow the same format as the aborted race in August:

Friday gates open at 3:00 PM for the first race
Saturday gates open at 1:00 PM for the second race

If we can get all 5 of the remaining finalists from the rained out Clay City race there, Tommy (track manager) will let them run those last three rounds to determine the Racer's Reunion Champion.

Post subject:  Roll Call

We need a Roll Call!! :D :D

I'll start with the 5 racers hoping to finish up the last 3 rounds from the big Reunion Race at Clay City.

1. Steve Adams
2. Rodney Hargis
3. Jackie Everhardt III
4. Gary Bruner
5. Lukus Bruner

6. Meril Bruner
7. Larry Chesney
8. Norm Foster
9. Ron Hamby
10. Jackie Everhardt Jr.
11. Ryan Covalt
12. Rick Covalt
13. Sam Daugherty
14. Lou Madsen
15. Rob Simmons
16. Charlie Schmid ???
17. Laney Heisten ???
18. Andrew Shank - No
19. David Shank - No

We have to have all 5 of the top guys there to make the Reunion Race finish work. Seymour and I have started a collection to help Steve pull back up from Florida.

This could be the biggest turnout for Knoxville since 2008 when they had 18 racers!! They had 14 racers in 2012, but it was rained out. I'm thinking that having the race later in the year will provide some nice cool fall weather will less chance for rain! Let's make this happen!!

If my transmission is OK, I will probably pull down with Ryan.

What does the track do for a payout? I need to know what I am going to win! :D :D :D There is an award for red lights right? :D :D

I think I've taken away your redlight title, Rick. "Redlight Lou" doesn't have as a nice a ring to it, though.

Looking forward to it!

Lou

They are not too far off from a 50 point race! Gary and Meril ought to be able to field a few more cars! Come on out and race people! :D

Thanks Rick. I adjusted the Roll Call post.

Gary called me last night. He said the track offers a percentage of the attendance for a purse. As an example he said they were going to give $200 back in August when we had 8 cars.

He also said there are a couple "Brunermobiles" sitting around, but some are three on the tree...

Can Angie shift gears? They might have a car or truck for her. She can win rookie of the year!!!
