A couple years back Team Green put a points race together in Tulsa, OK. It was the last race of the season and the points race that year was super close with Ron Hamby, Rodney Hargis and Ryan Covalt all within a round or two of each other. Some loudmouth from Kentucky was stirrin' the pot tryin' to git them three fellers to tow all the way out there fer the final showdown. He had 'em all nervous with talk about a bunch of cars showin' up that folks didn't know about & such. When the racing started none of those top three were there, but Team Green was able to muster 7 cars to compete. That was a pretty good turnout for a first time race out in the middle of nowhere.

Well, tomorrow is once again "Tulsa Time"! It ain't a points race this time and Ryan Covalt is already our 2018 Champion, but Team Green will be representing the Slant 6 cause with three cars. Both of the original cars from back in the day will be there in all their green glory and Mark Goodman will also have his beautiful blue '66 Dart wagon there to bang some gears. Mark and his wife Dixie drove the Dart all the way to Clay City this year to take on the Old Fox Meril Bruner in a grudge match. Meril and Ella had to buy Mark and Dixie dinner for that one.

Bill Kendall will also be there with his Slant 6 powered SDRA Dragster. If you aren't familiar with these cars or the HA/GR Dragsters that started the movement back around 2007, you owe it to yourself to make it out to Tulsa and Mo-Kan to see these things in action. They are a tribute to how cars were being built back in the late 40's and early 50's when the early dragster was first being developed. Super simple, bare bones kinda drag racing!

Here is a link to the H.A.M.B. Forum to give you an idea about these cars:

Best of luck at Tulsa tomorrow Team Green!! Let us know how it goes!!

That guy should not be happy with last place. Bill Kendall wins it to stay undefeated in Tulsa slant 6 racing. He won the 2016 race also.
Two cars made the call to the lanes.
The Lancer broke something in the engine.
The Valiant started eating something up in the transmission. Last race for the Turbo Action shifter.
The Dart wagon did okay.
Highlight of the day was Rusty had a .000 light on his second time run.

Mark, do you have issues with your T/A shifter losing adjustment on the cable?

Mine is coming out before spring. It's just not made for shifting by hand. I could probably put the air cylinder back on and be fine, but I don't want to.

Congratulations on the .000 Rusty!
