Just as an FYI. It looks like they are expecting a larger crowd of racers this year at Clay City. They are changing up the layout where the swap meet and show cars park to allow more racer parking closest to the track. As we get closer I will post more to keep everyone informed. Bobby Rogers posted a photo of Rodney Hargis and Gary Bruner in the Winner's Circle from way back in the beginning (Facebook). Pretty cool stuff! |

'Course, back then the internet was coal-fired and hand-cranked, and we didn't have any fancypants "Google maps" or "Hey Siri" or Fecebook and whatnot. I wanted to get to Clay City, but apparently my gaul bladder did not. Had emergency surgery yesterday, in the hospital now, should be released tomorrow. The gaul bladder has been excised from my body, so it no longer has any influence on me. Concerning the aftermath, my Dr said no lifting, pushing, pulling for the next 3 to 4 weeks. So the Barracuda will sit, have an engine installed, welded in subframe connectors just last Thursday, run the under hood wiring, install the seats and I could drive the car out of the garage. That is now on hold. |
