No records set.

Air not good enough and no prep track not conducive for records.

I left after the race at 11:30 and got home a 4:15 AM this morning. No problem staying awake since I took on several cups of coffee. But I drove 275 with no heat on and nearly froze. :D About 40 degrees out. Turned the heat on for the last 5 miles so I could thaw out when I got home!

Had a nice time with our slanted friends! Lou's car is so sweet! and looks and runs great too. Certainly gets looks everywhere it goes.

I/we found out what it is like to race on a no prep track! Not anything I really need to do again. It is probably fine if you are set up to run that kind of track. But traction was definitely hit and miss for me and several oil downs made the track very slick at times. My final time run Friday night, the car felt like it was on ice skates at the end of the run. So much so that we decided to run both races Saturday rather than take a chance with someone hitting he wall.

We all had a great time and sure missed those who couldn't make it. I will post some pictures tomoroow sometime.

Congrats Rick & Lou!

Had a terrific time, even though I could not find the tree or the track.
Rick and Lou had Good Rounds, Mark did too.
Lou's '34 is a spectacular car.. You have to see it in person sometime.

Here is the Video From the Final Rounds:

Thanks guys. What an amazing weekend. Although we only had 4 cars, the conversations were wonderful, and all the cars ran well (except traction) and impressed the crowd. Plus, none of us broke anything. Weather was borderline perfect. Of course I forgot to give Rick his runner up plaque for the 2nd race, so I'll mail that.

Looking forward to more tweaking on the Coupe, and more racing with some close friends. Coupe ran some 9.27s best at 72.5 MPH. About as fast as I could expect this combo to run, although I'm sure there's more tuning in it. Should be good for mid/high 14s in the 1/4 mile.

We met a couple of very intersted folks (Doug and Grayson) from NC, who sounds like they're bolting together some potent Slant 6'ed iron. Hope they can join us next year!

Oh, Motormile mentioned they will be hosting a ~1980s-era Pro-Stock car reunion, and that they'd love to have us for that. Sounds like late May and I'll keep folks updated on that.

Lou
