In case I don't make the Zoom meeting, I would love to see the series carry on. Right now I have a lot to do to the old Rat to make it race worthy but, my goal is to make a race or two this year if possible.

Brad

What we need is answers to the age old question of what it will take to get people to come out and race. Your thoughts are welcomed! :D

As far as a track to race at, the quarter mile track for us would be, Beech Bend in Bowling Green. https://beechbend.com/dragstrip/ Our home track, Knoxville Dragway, which is fine for 1/8 mile.

Not trying to be a nattering nabob of negativity, but we're getting old. Factor in building a car isn't cheap, then travel costs, etc. and many can't afford it anymore.

Look at this board. Traffic is way down. I'm on 2 Slant pages on Facebook and the majority of traffic there is coming from Australia.

The bright side for me is my visit with the eye specialist went well. My consultation for my cataract surgery is April 10. The 17th is my consultation for knee replacement. Hopefully when I get all that done I will feel like getting out again.

In the meantime my cousin and I will be swapping motors and converters in the Valiant this weekend. I am taking the spare transmission to Keith Sunday night si I may or may not be able to Zoom.

Dennis,

I am very glad to hear about your positive indications about eye and knee surgeries. I am pulling for you, my fine friend. Hopefully we can get together sometime in 2023...

Warmest wishes,
Lou

I just got confirmation that Mason Dixon will be 2 days as usual. Waiting to see if we can do 1/8 mile Saturday and 1/4 mile Sunday

Thanks, Rick. Good to know. Let us know when you have dates or proposed dates too. Looks like May 7 from Charlie's other post?

Sorry for the link confusion.

I updated the Page 1 link as well.
My zoom is limited to 9 people and 40 minutes, I was not aware of it.
