That's a bummer, but we will have fun on Sunday no matter what. I bet he will change his mind? I miss you and your great family, Rick!

Yes it will be fine. It is just a car race. I may go down and race Saturday in their Pro Street class. But honestly with 11 classes of cars running I may not go down until Sunday morning. I will have to think about that when we get a little closer.

I did check to see if South Mountain Dragway was open on Saturday. Thinking maybe we could race their Saturday evening since it is so close, but they are not open on Saturday. :(

And his flyer for the Mopar Show says Saturday Test & tune, Mopars welcome.
I hope things can be worked out. I can't see my driving about 900 miles ea way for a single day of racing.

There is no T&T on Saturday as far as I know. Plus if there is a regular race day going on then T&T was $100. At least it was last year. He does not want to run T&T with the regular schedule basically. Don't ask me why.

PS. Charlie, I don't blame you at all.

I will come out to south mountain if that is a viable alternative.

Sorry to hear the bad news. That is sure goofy.

Sorry, Rick, I misunderstood.

Well golly gee, I hope we can get something worked out. That was always one of my favorite double-race weekends!

What is the world coming to?!?!??!

:D :D

Looking at the Street race flyer for may 18th... it seems that most slant 6ers including myself with Ruster could go and race that day as well.

I may just do that even if Elmer will not give us our own class time.

I would be happy to buy into the Pro-Street Class and also Pay a separate fee for Slant 6 class on Saturday if there is no test n tune.

Hope there is a solution from The Mason Dison Management before mid May!

THank you for your work as always Rick!

Greg

The only solution is to race one of the other classes. The pro street class allows slick and open headers so we could all run that. Or those with true street cars with mufflers & street tires could run one of the other classes that require street tires and mufflers.

There is no T&T listed at all. Even if he did have it , when there is a race scheduled like this one, T&T is $100.

I'm good with running another class on Saturday. Thanks for your efforts and the info, Rick.

What upsets me is that if we have 10-12 cars, and we all run in another class; it is the same number of runs. No matter if we have our own class or not. It is just dumb to do.

I was thinking the same thing.
