I am a new guy here, I am the 3rd owner of a 70 Dart Swinger with the ole leaning tower of power. Last weekend I converted the 9" front drums to disc. I studied and shopped around and decided to go with the "Scarebird Tallzag" base plate. They provide the base plate and you buy the rest. It used 1990 chevy Celebrity rotor and Calipers, the new brake lines came from a mid 80's Eldorado. I bought a new master cylinder that was for a 71 Dart with front disc. I shopped around and found the best prices at advance Auto Parts. (not an endorsement) When I was done the whole thing cost me about $300.00 including the $20 machine shop fee for turning the hubs so the rotor would fit. I drilled the rotors myself with the template they provided and the whole job took less than a day. I am so happy with the stopping power it's like driving a new car.

Awsome, glad it worked out :D I'm not fan of using GM parts on my cars, but thats just me. For $300 bucks you cant beat it.

Believe me "MONEY" had a big impact on the decision.
