MY front brake drums need replacement, been turned to max. (63 valiant. I can get new front drums but they come without the hub and studs. Is it possible to have my old hubs removed and pressed into the new drums? ( don't want to go to disc conversion). thanks

Yes, but you need to cut the swaging off the old studs before removing the drum/hub/studs. There is a special tool for cutting the swag, but it has been discontinued. I understand a hole saw can be used, but never tried it. If you don't cut the swage, you risk ruining the hub.
PS: It is not necessary to put the swage back on.

IMHO, anyone driving in modern traffic with 9" drums (and narrow 13" tires) is playing with fire. If you are doing very limited driving and not tailgating in any way, maybe you can get away with it. Once I put discs on one of my A-bodies, I didn't want to drive my other 9" drum car.

I appreciate the comments: My goal is to restore to stock, very limited driving: I live in a rural area with not much traffic, and I wouldn't even consider driving on an interstate/
