I've noticed with the new board, you have to hover right over the post title to click and read it. With the old board, you used to be able to click on the space anywhere on the horizontal line from the post title to the author.

Dan,

Thanks for catching that! I'll see if I can copy & paste them into this board. I didn't see that at all!

I probably won't be able to do anything about that. Amazing the different things that people see! I didn't notice that.

No biggie.... just took me a second to figure out the first time I visited because I always clicked in that blank area. I see the option to attach files... does it only allow specific file types? I tried to upload a png to illustrate what I meant earlier. It proceeded to let me select and upload as seemingly intended but the attachment never showed up.

Dan,

The first one I fixed, the second one looks to be OK, and the third is a long thread, and I can't find the listing in the forum on the old board. Every time I click on something on the old board it redirects me to the new board. I'll have to fix that first.

How big is the file? There is probably a size limit. 256k, if I have to guess. Large pictures need to be compressed.

Yep, looks like it is size related. The png was 400k... saved it as a jpg, 390k, no soup.... resized photo and saved as jpg, down to 124k, and now it posts.

If your intent is to start allowing image posting just be careful when moving hosting providers in case they have any bandwidth limits.

Can you increase the font size for everything for all the old farts...........

Hold down the CTRL key and press the plus (+) key on the numeric keypad. This will increase the font size in any browser window.

AHHH, that's much better. Thanks.

And I forgot to add that you can do the same with the minus (-) key to make it smaller again. Blow things up to read the "fine print", then shrink back down again if needed. Was it obvious that each time you hit the plus key, it gets a little bigger?

Yep. I played with it both ways. Good stuff.

Looks like even though my profile is checked to remain hidden, my user name still shows up at the bottom and the "hidden" statistic is still 0.

FYI.

FYI.

Who are you hiding from?
I'm not sure what that is supposed to do. Where did you find that setting?

Chuck, real nice progress you're making on bringing the new board onstream. One question: is the old board going to remain in existence and accessible indefinitely? If not, a lot of "see this post, see this thread, see this topic" types of links will be broken forever.
