Ok, I have the new accelerator pump in and the charcoal out of the carb and I am about to install it.

I have two lines running from the canister to the carb. I will leave off the "bowl vent" line but what about the one that runs to the bottom of the bowl on the opposite (passenger) side?

Best fix is install a filter in line with the vent hose to prevent charcoal from getting into your carb.

Cheers, Wizard

That's not a fix, it's a band-aid.

That's the purge line. Disconnect at carb end and cap the carb fitting until you install the new charcoal can.

Post subject:  Update and thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the help with my truck last may. She has been running great ever since. Couldn't have done it without this forum.
