Hey everybody, I figured it's been too long and I should provide an update. I've talked to a couple of shops about the crankshaft. The Norman shop was sympathetic to my situation, but said I'd be better off with a different crank. The other shop said the crank was salvageable, but doing so would be expen$ive. So at the moment I have the original crank in the shop getting the pocket enlarged. Lesson learned.
Recently, I also shipped my camshaft off to OCG for regrinding. After considering the many different options I decided to go with Josh's recommendation (prediction?) of the 819E/818I profile on 108 degree LSA. I'm excited to get it back and start putting everything together.
Thanks again to everyone who's provided advice and insight along the way!
