That's actually not a bad price compared to some I've seen.
Problem is in that's not nos (don't think it is as it looks like a 5 bolt version not 6) but it's probably got a little thicker rotors, which means it won't fit under the cover of the stock pump body.
I did see a rebuild kit on eBay a week or so ago.

My pump is a 5 bolt. Looking at these pistons. The brand was recommended here.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/355044103670?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=98m3nmh8qlg&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=TNq5eZr3R5K&var=624320794050&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

ETA: I saw a rebuild kit on ebay but it just had the outer gear ring and my housing is as rough as the gears.

Stopped by the machine shop, block cleaned up at .03 over. Shopping for pistons.

Same pistons I used. Without decking the block you'll wind up with the pistons at ~0.200-210 below deck at true TDC. Not good for performance, mileage or power. So you'll end up having the deck milled. I only went 0.030" deck shave and wish I'd have had them shave more. For me even after that 0.030 the pistons were still 0.180" deep at TDC.
I then had the head shaved 0.070.

I'm planning on .07 off the deck. Going to mock up 2 pistons and check deck height before final milling. Shooting for. 09 deck height when done if I remember correctly.

Cam finally got mailed today. Cost $50 shipping. Post office wanted $70. With the fuel pump lobe needing welded up the cam is going to cost close to new. Still should replace the oil pump.

I don't know the Oregon Cams number for the RV10 cam. Need to look that up.

How much difference does a RV10 style cam make? Machine shop has a stock NOS cam for $100.

Thanks for the help. I'll make a donation to the site. I know most traffic has gone to fb. It's fun to post stuff there for laughs but I don't expect decent advice.

Should I replace the water pump since it's out? Other recommendations?

Seems like I find answers searching after posting. Ha.

Replacing the water pump while it's off is a no brainer unless maybe you know it had been very recently replaced before the engine was pulled and disassembled

An old RV style cam in your case would be a good upgrade over stock. Which I believe the RV10 is.
On that NOS cam is it a factory Mopar cam or some other brand?
They used a few over the many years of/6 production. Does it have the oiling groove on the back journal that the hydraulic ones had? Is it a hydraulic or a solid lifter version?
If you want to upgrade, I think having yours reground is a better idea than buying most aftermarket options.
And yeah shipping these days sucks. It's ridiculous. When I sent my cam to Oregon, it cost me double what I expected and took 2x as along to get there as either I or the guys at Oregon cams expected it to.
Mycam spent more days on the road in USPS vehicles than it took for Oregon cams to do to it what I sent it out for.
And then return shipping.... Slightly less expensive but still more than expected. I had nearly $100 in round trip shipping, which was dang near the same thing that I paid for the actual work I had them do to it. But with places like comp cams current reputation, it was worth it.

I only paid like $28 shipping the last one I sent. For $100 in shipping you may as well buy a new cam from them.

He doesn't have a core or I would have. It's the 2106R grind. My old cam goes out Monday. Pistons should be here Monday.

I've heard of guys using "that" cam. I think most were pretty happy with them. Be sure to get new lifters with the fresh grind. I got mine right from Oregon cams.
I actually used their #819. Also a step up or 2from stock, sounds pretty tame while running, though //seems like "alot more" than what was stock in my '74 motor.... at least "on paper" anyway.
though I admit that my head spins whenever I try to make sense of cam specs... I've read lots on the subject of intrepreting cams too and have to re read all of that every time I get into another one to sort of make my head stop spinning whenever that subject comes up... I've done the "too big of cam" once in an engine (this one wasn't a /6) back while I was in auto class back in community college days in my "guinea pig" engine I rebuilt while I was in that class....and I've been afraid of "too much cam" ever since. and that was way back in the 80s

I paid like $42 to send my cam there, and the USPS had it for 2 weeks just to get it there. They were done with the work on my cam within like 3-4 days after they recieved it, then another 3-4 day wait for my valves to come in, so they could send it all back at one shot. so not bad at all there. Still spent more time "travelling" than it spent being worked on at Oregon.

coming back, with a set of O/S SI valves for my engine and a set of new, solid lifters added to the shipping bill, was something like $48// so $90 in shipping "round trip".

With the building up and regrind of my fuel pump lobe (which itself was an extra $40) my bill just for the cam (not counting shipping) was around $120. not counting the lifters or the valves. I didn't think $120 was bad for the cam, and knowing I had a seasoned cam that I had little chance of oil pump gear issues adding a little piece of mind there.... and I couldn't buy a COMP "anything" for $120 for a /6 anyway. I had actually considered 2 different Howard's cams at the time, I was stuck between which one I wanted, if I'd have bought one of theirs. Howards had more which were higher up the "radical" ladder that I didn't even consider. I think I was looking at either #2 or #3 from the bottom of their list available for our engines at the time. #1 (lowest) didn't seem "worth the change from stock," if I'm remembering right.

How much you wanna bet they were all the same brand pump with a different label stuck onto the box? More common than you might think these days

Pic shows a 5 bolt pump. I thought all OEM pumps were 6 bolt
