So i got me a 489 Case and some 4.30 Gears and a spool.

I am getting it all together and one of the bearing caps for the Differential has a lot of play Like when it's all buttoned up there is 1/16th of an inch of daylight that is visible above the adjuster threads.

It does this on both sides.


1. can 741 and 742 caps be used on the 489?


2. If the answer to question 1 is no I think I need to get this cap machined a bit to reduce the play in there.
