I am planning on keeping the 225 in my '70 Challenger rather than swapping to smallblock power. It's backed up by a 3 speed and a 3.23 7 1/4. Anyway, I'm looking for people's opinions on my plan. Not looking for tire burning performance, rather would get reliable good gas mileage. My plan is as follow, in the order of highest priority to lowest priority

1. Swap out my 3 speed for a 4 speed overdrive. My 3 speed is toasted.
2. Install windage tray, torque fan, and electronic ignition.
3. Replace stock exhaust with 2 1/2 single exhaust.
4. Install "super six" intake and carb
5. Install Dutra Duals
6. Increase comp to about 9:1 by milling head
7. Change cam to ?

Any other recommendations? By the way, I can never link to the place Dutra duals are for sale. How can I get more info? I am very interested.

You could skip the windage tray on a "mild performance" street car. Of course it wouldn't hurt, but they are hard to come by and you could save some money. Maybe spend it on an MSD ignition instead.

I have a windage tray and I couldn't make it fit my 65. It hit the oil pan. I welded some baffels into the sump and left it at that.
