 Post subject: Oil slinger

It has been one year since I broke down my 225, and I am uncertain about the position of the flat metal disk that slips on the front end of the crankshaft (known as an "oil slinger"). Is is necessary, and does it sit loosely between the crank sprocket and the timing chain cover seal? If it does, it is to be positioned concave away from the sprocket?

Put it back in, but make sure the concave side is toward the balancer, if it is to the back the chain will eat it up (don't ask how I know this).
