Post subject:  Best Times

I think we need a post with the record-setting 1/4 mile times in date order. How about it guys? I just read Slantzilla's post about the Buzzin' Half Duzzin':

Mike Jeffrey and Blaine Mueller's "Buzzin' Half Duzzin'" '68 Valiant. 10:19@129.

We need dates and times.

Yeah, and you aint seen nothin' yet!

Just wait 'til Ron "Possum" Parker's Rampage/Studebaker gets finished up!!

That full tube chassis race car is gonna Rock the House!

Maybe we'll get some more "In Progress" pictures from the Traveling Trucker in the November issue of SSRN!

And what's even better is that I will be back "home" in Germany to read it!

HA/GR, Barn Job #18; 14.563 @ 90.21 first time out.
Two seconds off the current record.

Image

An acceptable first effort for a bone stock drooler engine with some carbs, and 3.23's turning 30" tall hides. Still had a big chunk of third left at the end.

For those unfamiliar with the HA/GR class, we're limited to 6" maximum tread width bias ply street tires & manual gearboxes.

Next up, better gears.
Then some head work.
Then some cam.
Then closing up the rear end if needed.

Should be chewing on the record by next summer.

Why not do something like moparts where everyone can post their times (records or not). They cut and paste the list and add their times to the list.

See here on how they post. What do you think?

I don't know how hard it is to do, but you could set up something like the timeslip database over at Moparmarket. When I say "you" I mean the fine people who run this great forum :)
http://www.moparmarketforum.com/phpBB/g ... uartermile

In the mean time I'll add my best 1/4 mile results.
