Post subject:  FINAL 2015 points
Ron Hamby does it again! He is now our National Champion for the 6th time!! :shock:

There were only 2 racers at the anti-climactic final race of the season.

Two time National Champion Rodney Hargis and Rookie of the Year Jack Everhardt III squared off for one final round of Slant 6 racing at Clay City, KY on 7 November.

Rodney trailed Killer Bee racer Andrew Howard by five points going into the final race of the season. He won that one round, which he gave up to the Over 5 Rule. So it was the five attendance points that tied things up.

Rodney finished the season with an impressive 0.6800 Performance Index to secure the 2nd place spot over Andrew with his still impressive 0.4444.

Jack Everhardt III showed up at Clay City prepared to defend his position as Rookie of the Year. He was just 5 points up on fellow Rookie Andrew Shank. He didn't have to fend off any other Rookies, but he had his hands full with Rodney who is one of the best racers in the series.

Congratulations to all of the racers in 2015!!

Thanks, Lou, Dennis, Rick, Rob, and others for offering congratulations on this years run. And in return I relay my thanks to all the racers for being my friends, good sports, and fierce competitors. I feel blessed to be able to compete with the best group of racers in this country. I am humbled to have the success that I have had, and feel very lucky as well. I understand many of you guys have intentions of putting the yellow dart on the trailer at every race next year. I guess that means it is going to have a big bulls eye on the door. It will be all in fun anyway. Hats off to Rodney, Andrew, Lou, and a couple of others for keeping the pressure on till the last minute. Some people said I had it locked early up but I knew better. One thing I know is our racers don't give up until the last race is over. That competitive spirit is what makes this series so exciting.
