Hi, I've been having many problems with my HEI conversion on my D150 1982..
After much searching, I finally found the problem,,
A bad loose coil connector.

So I purchased a new connecting plug, and it too fits loose.

I now need to buy a new ECoil,
Could someone please recommend one to me?
And were to buy.

I would like, (if at all possible) to buy one with bolt on wire attachments, or one that is hard wired,, I would like to eliminate connector all together if I can.

Thank you..

The MSD Blaster SS #8207 comes with rings for the low voltage side and are screwed down. It also comes with a boot and terminal for the distributor side that fits snug over the male hei post. Little pricy but nice. Comes with rubber standoffs for mounting as well to help with vibration.

Thank you. I will consider it.
I would rather stay away from MSD,,, I've been reading too many negative things about their products.

Is there any other, (other than MSD) that would be recommended?

The OEM solutions work just fine really with the right parts. Follow the FAQ sticky at the top of the electrical section to the HEI retrofit article for parts, numbers, and pictures.
