Would you recommend adding a relay to the mix?

Others will probably recommend one but I have 3 vehicles running without them and all have 13+ volts at the module. Been running them for 3-8 years

I used a Delphi DS10071 module about 4 or 5 years ago. I have a couple of supposedly real AC Delco 4 pin modules somewhere but haven't needed them yet. I intended to install a relay but have never gotten around to it. I used a NOS GM coil with factory mount intended for a late 70's Chevette engine mount. I mounted the bracket on the fender in my truck. Got a couple of assemblies on ebay. I've forgotten the GM part no. for coil and bracket, but the coil is equivalent to the SM DR35.
