She is running quite good now, but the idle sounds strange . If i rise the rpm she sounds very good .. A tight dark soft voice... AFR is 10. something so the idle problem its understandable .

Good looking job so far!! I also dig the sleeper look. I can see EFI in my 66's future.

I am dead serious...

Bill,
No sale on the carb until I get all the parts to efi. You're going fuelie anyways, right?

Thomas,
Wish my hotrod didn't have a hood scoop. One of my goals is 9.99 sec on a stock looking plain jane Valiant. Good luck!!

Ryan

Ryan,

I have no plans to ever go EFI.

My car is strip-ready except for mixture issues. (too lean under boost)

In the coming wweeks, I will be buying a trailer and can take it to the strip for some shakedown runs at 10 pounds of boost... 13s probably.

I can't wait...

When you decide to sell that carburetor, let me know... I want it (bad!)

Is that a plane...?
No its , its a slant 6 Valiant...

Its hard to find words after a test ride at higher speeds.
Awesome
Holy cow , from lowest speeds to  its pulling like a train on steroids
And just 7.3 psi so far
More to come

Thomas

I was at a dyno session ...
The result was 323 hp at 5ooo rpm and about 400 ftlb torque.
And it was done on a Dynapack
As you can see it was still climbing but i decide to stop by 5000 rpm
The boost was 14.4 psi
The power is rising quite fast....

Wow, Thomas; that's really impressive!

Thanks so MUCH for posting this!

I'm anxious to see what kind of power it might make at 20 pounds; any inclination to try that in the future?

Bill
