Pictures are deceiving.
Kinda of like a Hemi Slant head in an old valiant.

Speaking of heads, I picked up mine today from the machine shop.
50 cut, 4 angle valve job, slightly bigger valves, bronze wall guides.
Going to try and get it installed before our Eclipse friends arrive for the weekend.
Of course they are predicting a cloudy day here around Dallas.

Sorry Zilla, that is Mark's old header.

Friends left for VA after the weekend-week for the Eclipse.

I wanted to get it running today, but ran out of time.
I was worried about having a set of push-rods, but the Smith Bros set I got for the heavy milled head work.
I got most of it back together today.

Looks sooooo good Stan! But if this head doesn't work it may be time to weld some fins on it and make it air cooled! :D :D

I sure have had my share of trouble!
Everything looks good today, nice run with water and it was all good.
Just picked a new set of seat belts tonight at Summit.

Lots of rain this weekend, DFW is 6+ inches ahead of the normal totals.
We are not the only area getting rain.
The Colt has been loaded since MOKAN.
I hope this weekend has a clear day to get it out and see what it will do.
Monday morning forecast has Sunday looking good, but that is a long way away with our weather.

We have been getting lots of rain here too.

There have been only 2-3 days the track has been open since Hemi Day. We are also tending to get rain on the weekends while there are some clear days on Monday-Friday
