Just had a call back from the seller. We chatted awhile. "Bout a month and a half ago, I sold my late-'70s prototype aluminum Slant-6 head to a guy in Pittsburgh".

I chased one of those for decades. Never did lay hands on one.

The "with an 'h' " in PA Pittsburgh?? He didn't drop the name, curious who that might be...
I tried to post a pic of that head, file was too large, but this is the parallel bathtub chamber to the 2.2L head We're discussing correct?

I've posted them on FABO a few times now, they were featured in an article by Steve Magnante, whatever online version of the original magazine article was. The owner of the items, including a turbo log-style exhaust manny & welded aluminum turbo intake, remained undisclosed.

Cool pics. I remember seeing that version of the Al head on an ebay auction 15-20 yrs ago. I bet Mopar Frank or Steve bought that one.

Dumpster fire?
Ok but there WAS a lot of interest at the time.
Are those folks asleep now, dead, or moved on to LS engine swaps?
I know I am a dinosaur, but still a slant fan and one day an aluminum head will emerge from the smoke and mirrors!

Remember Summit sells an aluminum head for $1800. Assembled.

The problem remains that a higher flowing head than what we have now is pointless because of the tiny bore.

Much more economical to blow it in or spray it.
