Registration is required on this board due to spammers and trolls. You will have to register to use the board's features, such as showing a user name, number of posts, flag avatars and being able to use Private Messages.
When you register, you will be asked to enter some information about your car in the "Car Info" box. IF YOU DO NOT PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED! Most registration requests we get are from spammers.
If you failed to enter your car information (does not need to be a slant-six car), you will need to contact us as explained below (keep reading).
Please enter your location when registering and select a flag Avatar from the gallery. It's interesting to see where all our readers are connecting from!
PLEASE, write down and keep for reference your user name and password, exactly as you have entered it during the registration process. One missed space or "typo" and you will not be able to log in.
On the subject of logging in, hit the login button on the main page to log in. We recommend that you check the "automatically log me in on each visit" box or simply do not log out when you leave the message board. It will remember you when you return (if your computer allows cookies). This saves you the trouble of logging in each time you visit the site. If you do not log in, you will not be able to post.
If you are having trouble logging in with your name, log in with the name “userhelp” and password “123456” and then post a new message in this forum ("How to use this Message Board") with the message subject "Can't Log In" and be sure to INCLUDE THE USER NAME YOU TRIED TO REGISTER UNDER. We will go into that user account and try to fix the problem. In some cases we may have to reset your password so be sure we have an active e-mail address to reach you. If all else fails, we can delete a user account to "free up" the user name, then you can try the registration process all over again. We do NOT allow general posting under the “userhelp” name.
Don't give up if you have a problem. You will need to contact us and give us some info so we can get you going. We have not run into any "show stopping" registration / login problems yet.
