This was in 1983... I was lookin for these pictures high and low and finally found out that a friend of mine had copies of them... so here they are:

Although these pictures looked more like 1960's but no, this was 1983 (you can see from the Bride's hairstyle... typical early 80's)

ANyway... here is my Dart dressed like a PEACOCK!!

How about that peacock dress eh? Smile

That is pretty amazing. What a wonderful story to have about your Dart. And, yes, the peacock costume for your car is very nice as well.

Yeah I remember the Dart PEACOCK option in the sales brochure. A guy one block over from were I grew up had the same option. Yeah Yeah that's it.

I'm just razzing you. That actually is pretty cool.
Thanks for sharing it.

So tell us how the car got appointed royal wedding conveyance, and why was it was festooned in a peacock façade.

Pretty cool story. Did you get the costume when you bought the car? Very Happy

Hi Bill

I can answer the 1st part of your ques, but not the 2nd part im afraid. Malaysia is not well known for convertible cars, let alone an American Mopar Convertible. They found out Mom had an old Dart Vert and rented the car for a week (thats how long they took to get the peacock costume thingy on the car).

As for why a peacock... your guess is as good as mine Smile

Syed

That's a cool story.

Syed's Dart will be featured in the 2012 Slant 6 calendar too! Now we've got a celebrity ride in the calendar. Very Happy

I love cars with "stories"... Wink

Hey Syed,

We can use some of the pictures you've already posted here if you'd like. There are some nice shots already. You just tell me which ones you want to use. Very Happy
