| Just spent anouther $400 today for nitrous stuff to go after the A and B nitrous records in Vegas next year.I figure its gonna cost me about $2500 and over a 100 hrs work to TRY to get these records. If i get them I go freshen motor and go back to all motor.Bottom line I am spending close to $3,000 for what I will run in Vegas only, for a couple records.IF the 400 plus run motor holds up.In theroy,4 passes,2 new records.$3,000 plus the 100hrs or so in hours.THEN I gotta go tru the motor. For Seymour

We are all standing with our mouths open in AWE, Mark. Keep up the great work.
Why try for records in Vegas? High alt and hard place to do it, eh??
I'm going to try to visit you in March in LA if you're around and you'd like a visitor...
Lou

The air is pretty bad at Vegas, but the track prep is top notch.
Woodburn has excellent track conditions later in the year, but early on it's touch and go. Medford would be another good place to run. Trouble is, Mark's looking at seven to nine hundred miles one way for either of those tracks.
Since he's making his car into a bottle baby, the air isn't going to make as much difference. I think Doc set his record up at Vegas. Is that the current record?
Go for it Mark! I probably won't make Vegas next year. It's a mighty long haul for as little as we get to run.

| Thought because I will bee spraying, altitude didnt matter at all.I could bee way wrong but its not going to change my plan of attact. Will bee spraying a 60 shot for the B record,if car still runs after that and I get the record I will go to a 90 shot and go for the A record. Will have 120 shot jets and 150s but I really dont want to use them.Should leave them at home but I know I cant.Guzzi Mark

Altitude does have an effect. Although you will still add the amount of HP that you spray, your baseline performance will still be slower because of the altitude.
If you pick up .6 at sea level, you will still pick up .6 at altitude, but you will still be slower because your N/A ET will be slower at altitude.

The other problem with Vegas is the damn WIND !! seldom do you see a tail wind. Most often a head/cross in the 20-30 mph range. Here a 20 mph wind is just a breeze........ Today we are expecting 45 mph gusts.
Lets hope for calm for your runs !!! I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for ya.........
