pin shaft is just that loose, I have just kinda assembled it on the table 4photos. I posted a wanted reverse manual valve body w/trans brake on big block darts forum as I posted a build our other 1968 calif no rust dodge dart 2+ years ago and ran out of $$$ for that. so I bought this slant six car also to cut my teeth.
anyhow got it from bOb @ a real good price. he said he had it on his race car back in the day. he also builds valve bodies and sells them on big block dart forum.
just ordered a billet spacer for the filter on ebay..$30 delivered w/orings/screws.
now I need a deep pan. would like to pull one from a pick/pay Sunday but do not know what model trucks have a A500 trans..the pan should be deep and work..I think
no written instructions but bOb told me how it works. |

| Be careful with the overdrive ratio you select. If you need 5th gear on the track it needs to be close ratio otherwise the car will fall on it's face at the big end of the track. The 5th gear in most V8 T5s is way too steep. You want something in the .85-.88 range.

what not just use 4 gears in the 1/4 mile with the V8 trans gearing 5th= .68

| I don't think you have a tall enough tire or enough RPM to run 5.38s in direct on the strip.
