has anyone ever had/seen one
what issues are involved
we have a place in Delaware to put one
but not $$ for a garage
thoughts
is this realistic or dream? |

I know a guy in NC who did this outside his shop on a concrete pad with a rough overhang/roof over it. Seemed to work for him. If no roof, I would be careful to cover everthing (cables, electrics...) against rain or....

A local tranny shop has their 'big' lift outside.. ie: for busses big rv's etc..._________________ MRO....
Cheap, Fast, Reliable.... Pick 2...

I know of one local salvage yard that just installed one and a Machine shop/Race car owner that has had one outside for a couple years.

| Out here most all shops have outside lifts. You see alot in backyards too. I would think in your neck of the woods that moisture, rust, may be a problem.If you keep everything well lubed and maintained you should get many years out of it.

You could ask the lift companies. there may be a weatherproofing package or some such?

My Bendpak HD-9ST manual says inside use only, but I'm sure you could weatherize it.
