Radio schematic request

I have a couple broken Chrysler model 350123 AM radios I'd like to repair but have no schematic or tune up information.
I think this model type was produced from about 1974 through 1983 and up to the introduction of the Digital display... but I'm often rather hard of thinking.

Dang, its a darn book for cryin out loud, 13 bux to ship a book? thought there were book rates avail. But to answer your question, maybe. I didnt dig thru the listings but you can try and see what you see Here._________________ MRO....

Thanks for the links. I also checked amazon.ca and found theschematicman.com {free shipping to Canada}
Am I correct that Sams Photofact is the ONLY source of information on this Chrysler model 350123(4?) AM radio?
Am I also correct that the AR-181 manual is just an updated publication of earlier manual versions AR-176, AR-179 and AR-180?

It seems so. I dunno why either, they act like its proprietary info, heck all am radios work the same the circuitry is the same. Usually if you can read a schematic even the old 'kit' 5 transistor style radios 'builders manual' would work. There just isnt much that can/will go wrong with a receiver. If its "dead" (wont light) its usually the 'power diode' which is the first thing in line. If it comes on and no audio output, it most likely will be the output transistor or the output regulator. (itsa a transistor also)

Thats a possibility altho am not familiar with those volumes. I cant remember now if you need the prior editions or not.... (Its been sense the early to mid 70's sense i've monkeyed in that field. ( RCA Technician, General radio and TV repair, circa 1974-1978ish)_________________ MRO....

Cool.
I was under the impression that these manuals were model specific, not covering all current brands and models.
Thanks for your diode. transistor and regulator suggestion and I'll also check for any dried up electrolitic capacitors.
Since the manual will likely cover other radios I have, it is likely worth more to me than I originally thought.

The AR Series from SAMs usually covered five or 6 different radios in a single book. You are also buying a manual for a couple of Delcos, some FoMoCos, etc. Years ago service centers would receive these books by subscription.
The schematics are well drawn, with voltage readings at critical points, parts listings, etc.
SAMs was the schematic service that ruled the day from the late 1940's through the heyday of the TV shops, right into the late 1980's. Back when every town had a tv shop (or 2) you could find dozens of file cabinets full of Photofacts in every shop.

| When you order a SAMs, you really want to read the #s on the radio itself to be sure to get the right one. I got a couple from a place named AG Tannenbaum and was very pleased; I don't remember what I paid, but it was well worth every penny. The books seemed to have printed ~1971?, but looked brand new and were in perfect shape.

Unfortunately the sticker or decal with the model and version numbers have detached from some of my radios... but I expect any version changes would be fairly minor.
I have done some further searching, and about 1999/2000 at least 4 CD-ROM (?compendium?) volumes were produced. I am still trying to find out if MY information is included on any of these...
