I've decided to go with a dual 1BBL offy intake for my 225 (with Dutra Duals).

Does anyone recommend the Holley 1920 or Carter BBS, one over the other?

Does SlantSixDan or anyone, have matched set of either for sale?

There's a case to be made for the 1920, the BBS, the 1945, the WA3, and other carbs on the Offy twin 1bbl setup. The most important thing is that the two carbs be exactly matched. Send me a PM and I'll see what I can dig up. Setup notes for the twin 1bbl are here.

They sell them for the 235 chevy.

How did you find these? Is it $180 for the pair?

Are they enough CFM's if they were intended for a 97 cu. in. engine?

I'm intrigued for sure...I suppose they'd fit an offy manifold, even if I needed adapter plates...

For that price, it's almost a no brainer to try them...

Might even be better than dual 1920's or BBS's....

The carb pads on the Offy are more then big enough to drill for these carbs. No adapter needed.

..and these are progressive carbs, designed for a 98cc engine, so two of these would be perfect for a slant six. At low R's no issues with too rich a mixture and at higher R's, likely all one would need. Like a small four barrel but better flow with the dual offy...can't wait to set it up!

You either rig up a kickdown cable, or run w/o one and lock the KD lever back about 1/2-2/3 of the way.

The latter suggestion is a good recipe for slow-cooked transmission, yum. Do the job completely and correctly. Working throttle pressure ("kickdown") linkage of some kind is necessary, whether it's a stock-like rod setup or a cable setup. See this thread for some aftermarket kickdown options.

You run a rod thru the two posts, already casted into that intake, then make some pieces to connnect it to the trans KD lever.
