The list has been updated to include Rob "mater" Simmons driving Lou's second car, Romeo is coming both days and so is Brian Droschak. Still looking good to have a 50 point race. I am trying to get my Dad to drive my truck so we could have 3 generations of Covalt's racing together! That would be cool!!

Looks like a 50 Point race on both days if people stick to their plans and show up like the count says and No one breaks.

Yes I will! And I am doing all I can to make it happen! And by the way; I am going to enjoy that 100 points!!
The past 2 weeks have been exactly what I didn't want right before the race. I told the boys that I wanted everything ready to race at the end of February or March. Then all we have to do is go race. Then my transmission needed work, Ryan's clutch went out a week and a half ago so it is apart in my garage waiting for parts that will probably not come till Friday. And the clutch went out of Denny's truck the end last week and we change that on Friday and Saturday. All that plus being off work for 4 weeks just didn't help.
But we will try and get our 5 vehicles there one way or another.

| I loaded the car on the trailer this afternoon, ready to leave at 5AM tomorrow morning. This is a 1200 mile trip for me one way, hope to be at the Red Roof Inn late Friday afternoon.

Charles, I am going to try and have someone video tape it. And I will do my best to take some good pictures. But it will all depend on how far us Covalt's go in the races. Whitney did the video last year and she is racing this year. But I'm sure we can locate someone in our group to tape some of it for us if we need to.

Some folks are on the road already and the weather looks good. I just got Ryan's clutch in the Dart with help from Ryan and Denny. So if the car seems to drive OK this evening Ryan's dart should be ready to race. Ryan will likely be driving Seymour's race car, so Ryan's dart may need a driver. Whitney wanted to drive my truck so Slantkota may need a driver as well. We will know later this evening if my dad may become the oldest rookie ever.
Sorry to say that the Hamby's are unable to make the trip and Rob Simmons had to back out also. You all will be missed. Still looks like 19 cars until someone else backs out!

Did some tuning of fuel, spark, and meth inj at 10 psi boost on the 68 Dart tonight with Matt Pyrak's help. Feels quite fast even with a conservative ign tuneup (13 deg total). Watch out...

The Dart seems to be good to go. Clutch holds good and nothing bad happened driving it tonight. Hopefully it is ready to race. Looks like my grandpap may drive it Sunday and a friend/Coworker will race the dart saturday. Should be fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone again._________________ Ryan Covalt
