What is your HP and Torque with your turbo setups? Trying to get a rough idea of what i'll get out of my motor.
Please list Boost, carb and other mods with your Hp

Looking at some relatively basic math, if the stock engine has 100 HP (for easy math), that is what's left over after all the parasitic losses; cam, valve springs, oil pump, water pump, etc. This rating would be at one atmosphere (14.7 psi at sea level). If you run 7 psi boost, that is about 1/2 atmosphere. Quick and dirty math shows a rough 150 HP.
Digging a bit deeper, the parasitic losses do not increase with boost, and therefore there would be technically more HP that 150. On the other hand, this air is still flowing through the same ports, valves, manifolds, etc. As the pressure increases, so does the velocity. With that in mind, we can assume that the output would be less than 150 HP.
Putting it together, a relatively crude rule of thumb is at 7 psi you get about 150% NA HP. At 15 psi boost you are roughly 200% HP or slightly less. Of course, exhaust size is one of the most critical pieces that must be upgraded when adding a turbo.

I am with Mike here. I went from about 180 crank HP (from dragstrip numbers) to about 280 HP on 6.5 psi with port EFI and a good flowing head on a 160k mile stock shortblock and nearly stock cam (MP 244). I have made 330-340 crank HP on 9.5 psi with water/meth injection but no intercooler (100 MPH in the 1/4 in a 3480 lb racewt car). Still creeping up on the tuneup... I have 3" single exhaust from turbo back. I have briefly run up to 13 psi and it was noticeably stronger, but I'm not ready to lean on it regularly there yet. Probably 360-400 HP.
I am planning to swap in a stronger tranny and a built up shortblock and want to end somewhere around a reliable 400 HP. When I say reliable, I mean I want to be able to drive across the country and beat on it or race it at will, which is what I did last summer (VA to OR to UT to NV...).

330 whp and 440 tq from a garrett gt32 @ 16.5 psi.
Just got it off the dynapack today! Very pleased with the /6's torque, it has got to be near 500+ lbft at the crank - running a 904, insane!

My old draw thru modified Corvair setup. Car weight about 2700-2800 lbs, 170 cubes.
Car ran about 16.0 et, don't remember the mph. Removed the milled head, and installed a stock head and a thicker head gasket. Ran 13.4's at 104 mph at 10-11 lbs boost. This was in the days before "boost timing master" and AFR meters. Tuneup was far from ideal. That equates to about 200-220 rear wheel hp by the wallace racing calculators. Of course no intercooler with a draw thru. Car was about 100 lbs heavier with the tubo setup. Same converter and rear ratio, but went from a 22 in tall tire to a 26 inch tall tire.
