Jeff Johnson announced tonight on Moparts that he is back at National Trail. The dates are May 16-18. Don't know if you want to try and get back in or not.

Date wise I don't know if we could attend but I know Rodney has said many times how much he wants to go back.

That is the same dates as our 1st Slant 6 race of the year at Mason Dixon.

I've been wanting to attend a Mason-Dixon race for years...

But 4 1/2 hours to Columbus versus 9 hours to M-D...

If it didn't compete with M-D I'd go with ya Dennis.

That would be the last race I could attend before shipping out... :(

I Always liked going up to National Trail. It would be nice to get another slant race there sometime in the future. It's about a 3 Hr. ride. :D

I will try to remember to discuss this at dinner next weekend. Maybe we can get one in that won't actually compete with M-D? :?

I'm not a racer, but I would go to watch a /6 race at national trails. Have you ever had a /6 race during Mopar Nationals which is there 8/8 - 8/10?

I think they tried years ago.

The Nats are too much of a clusterflock to try and have a race at.

I'd really like to get to a /6 race this year (as a spectator). I live in SE Ohio, what would be the closest?

If we don't get anything at Columbus next closest would probably be Clay City, KY in October.

That is about 3.5hrs for me, doable. Do you know the date? Is the schedule posted somewhere? Thanks

The folks at Clay City typically don't get their schedule for the Mopar Southern Classic locked in until later, but it is usually the first weekend in October.

This last year it was 27-29 September. Here's the thread on the 2013 race.

http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=53246

I would assume that this year it will be 3-5 October. I will try to get more information and post it soon.

The infamous "Cookie" (wvenable) has agreed to help coordinate the Clay City race starting this year.

I sent a pm to Jeff Johnson to ask if he is even interested in having us. I will let you all know as soon as I get a reply.
